there is a very good and cheap bus service which runs from centre of hersonissos to centre of malia. save your money and use the bus

I am wanting taxis for nights out in malia, therefore I would like to know the approxiamte cost

Last Aug we stayed in Stalis, and a taxi to Herson's was about 8 to 12 Euro's and a bit less to Malia. So you may pay 16 to 25E from H to M. As stated previously, why not get the bus to M and taxi back to H?
buy the way, the 'Beach Road 'strip' in Stalis is just as good as Malia and less 'in your face'. You can walk from stalis straight along the Beach Road to Malia in about 20 mins, passing loads of bars etc on the way.
Have you been to that part of Crete before?

went to hersonissos last year twice both times we were going to go to malia never made it but some reps that we met in hersonissos told us wen they go to malia from hersonissos costs about 20 euros and that u shuidnt pay much more than that

Probably about €15, one way. It will be higher after midnight. Ask for a price before you get in.
