Hi Trev, Dave, Fallan, Alan, Mark and all Malta people, we are currently in Malta staying in sunny Sliema, today has been quite nice with some sunshine and warmth but when we arrived last night it was chucking it down, we have been to Valletta and Marsaxlokk today and it was as good as ever, we popped in to Tony's Bar for a couple of beers and it was nice to see Mark Galea again, tonight we are going out for big juicy Bragioli's in Il-Merrill, then a few beers in and around Sliema and St Juliens, anyway chaps I must dash as I don't want my hopleaf to go flat, but I will log on again this week sometime.
Ciao for now
Mr & Mrs Sliema2
Hello Sliema2, Mrs Holidaymaker says will Mrs Sliema2 have a glass of Marsovin red for her, and leave some beer for me. Have a great time.
Leave some for me too, sliema2. I will be over there on Tuesday.
Hope you both have a great time .We got back early this morning after a wonderful week in Malta.Weather was lovely apart from yesterday(as you mentioned Sliema2) and it chucked it down nearly all day.Mind you it will take more than abit rain to ever put me off Malta.
Hi mate i hope the both of you have a wonderful time. Cheers Dave
Have a great time - as though I need to tell you that!
As you know and as I posted on another thread Sue my wife and our son were in malta during the last week and the weather was absolutely brill. Yesterday really was a dreadful day and the rain and dullness were obvious on the webcams, in fact street lights were on at 3pm. I'm pleased that the weather has improved today but as you probably already know & as jojouk has said it would take more than a bit of rain to put me off Malta!
Give our regards to Vince and let him know that he will be seeing us next time we're in Malta,
Trev
Have a great time but like Trev' has said as if we need to say .
P.S. did you manage to see the carnival?
hi trev its vincent thanks ,i will be waiting for you and your family.yes sliema2 was in the restaurant yesterday and had a few beers but i still have same left for you and all our readers from holidaytruths(when you are in our restaurant please let us know so we will offer you a drink .)
Lovely to hear from you. My wife has said that there is a carnival or festa taking place in Sliema during this week? Is that one of the reasons Sliema2 is there?
We really look forward to visiting you again and indulging as Sliema2 is doing at the moment!!!
Trev
Hi Malta31, Trev, Plumb, Dave, M&N, and everyone who has replied so far, the weather has been fabulous today with bright warm sunshine, we have been to the carnival today and it is a great spectacle with bands marching, people in costumes and bright floats playing music, I can now officially say that Sliema is running out of Cisk, Hopleaf, and Blue Label, there is a shortage of Bragioli, Fenek, Qarnita, Tiegiegh expected too over the coming week, I really must say just how fabulous Malta is again it's such an amazing place that after 15 visits it just keeps getting better with so much to do and see, anyway chaps off out for some more lovely Maltese food tonight and will be washing it all down with more beer and wines.
Hello Sliema2, Our day will come.
have you tried 1743 ir razzat l-antik in qormi

During the Sliema festa last August, I watched the marching band and was convinced from the way they dressed that they all must work for Captain Morgan. I never realised that he employed so many staff!
Trev
Hello Trev, Captain Morgan funny you should bring that up have you ever been on the Harbour Cruise with them, on the way back to the ferrys they always plug the Fortina hotel as one of the best hotels on the island.

Hope Mr&Mrs Sliema2 are having a nice holiday, weather a bit iffy, one minute sun, the next rain even hail stones over the weekend.
Did you get over to the Nadur Carnival? Masses of people went over! Friday evening my son joined the end of the queue for the ferry near the Danish holiday village at Mellieha Bay - at 3.30am Saturday 7 hours later he arrived in Mgarr Gozo! But he really enjoyed the Nadur carnival, so that's the main thing!
Bongu everyone, well we have decided to stay in Malta permanently now and we are currently in negotiations with the Govrn Ta Malta to buy Verdala Palace, yes Alan we have been to Ir Razett in Qormi it is a really nice place but the food is vastly over rated, although it does make for a different night out, we did it in June one year and enjoyed the experience of a night out in another village more than anything if you do it I would reccomend doing it in summer sd Qormi cab get a bit iffy at nights and the restaurant is a bit away from the centre.
hope you and mrs sliema2 are having a great holiday
my first wife was from qormi so i know it well but ir-razzat l-antik has opened since my last visit to qormi. my children may be in qormi when i visit in august so it would be nice to have a meal with them there (i say children they are in their 30's).
hope you update us on all things new on your return.
have a great time
