im off there in july but ive been doing alot of research and the place looks and sounds great i suggest you find pics on it and peoples reviews but i dont think you have anything to worry about! Im going to hammamet yasmine but ive done research on hammamet and hammamet yasmine.

I've been to Hammamet in August for the last couple of years (as well as numerous other times! ). I have to say that I don't remember flies being too much of a bother at that time of year - it's usually later, around September that they get a bit pesky! Hammamet town does have a tendency to have lots of corners full of rubbish, sadly probably more down to the huge number of tourists than anything else

Les Citronniers is basic but relaxed and friendly. The main downside is that (unless it's changed) there's no aircon in the rooms. A good point is that the bar prices are good and the outside part of the bar is quite a nice place to sit for a drink.

I haven't actually stayed there so can't comment on the food and don't know anything about the entertainment there. If the evening ents programme isn't too great, the Hotel Fourati down the road is quite good. I went there several times last summer when I was staying at Le Hammamet (also in the same road).

Personally I love Hammamet and the majority of other tourists I've spoken to out there agree. Several, like me are repeat visitors, going back time after time. I've met very few who really hate the place - in fact off the top of my head I can only think of one!

hi devonbabez,this will be my 6th time at the same hotel and i love it we know every one in the hotel and the tunisian people are really canny and friendly.i go with my daughter who is 13yrs and her friend ,as my partner goes to the costa del sol to play golf with 20 of his mates even though i go on my own with the kids i always get on with other holidaymakers and have a fantastic time

so sorry i didnt reply right back but my 15yr old had an accident sledging and had to get mountain rescue out as she couldnt move her back she is now recovering so i really wish my holiday was ere ,not really looking forward to the flight and transfair as we dont fly till 8pm but nevermind hope its all worth it just hope we like the place as we always go to turkey but this year we thought we would have a change and you did say youve been 6times so there must be somthing to like devonbabez

dont worry, i felt nervous before going to hammamet too. it was fantastic and surprisingly clean. watch out however for the salad - i ended up very ill in hospital. the hospital was immaculately clean (far superior to english hospitals), all the nurses and doctors spoke english and tourists get private rooms with t.v's. i was insured but calling out the doctor and staying in hospital was cheap anyway. the doctors were fantastic and explained everything clearly, gave me injections, drips and medication. if you get bad stomach pains, dont just take pharmacy tablets and suffer - if you need to do call the doctor - they are fantastic!!!
i was so impressed with tunisia that despite being hospitalised (my own fault - too afraid to call doctor as i though they would be incompitant - so i let it get out of hand ), that i visited again 6 months later!!!

Hi, 4 of our holidays to Tunisia have beeen allocated on arrival and all 4 were in P.E.K. 3 were in the Royal Kenz, we were sooooo lucky and the other one was at the Miramar Golf, not so good, but alright. If you think most of the hotels in Tunisia are 4**** I'm sure you'll have a great time .

Sorry, forget to mention we too travelled with My Travel, 3 times very good. We were quoted 3*** of of the teletext, but like I said ended up in the Royal Kenz which is 4****.
