We stayed at Alcudia Garden in 2001.

Alcuda Garden is near the port aera and 100 m from the beach! Lots of shops, resturants right outside the hotel.
The pools are great and they have a big childrens pool!
Mostly families stayed there.
Good resturant!
Entertainment team on the hotel!

The main street are outside the hotel and can be busy! I recomend that you book apartment with pool view!!

Yes, the main road in Alcudia! And there are shops on the hotel's ground floor under the apartments.

If you are unlucky you can get an apartment on the wrong side!!

Hotel Viva Tropic is the neighbor on the other side. That side is much better and you will not notice the main road!

look at the picture over! The main road and the beach is to the rigth, hotel viva Tropic to the left!

Hi, we stayed in the viva tropic last year, around the corner from alcudia gardens, went in one night to have a look around and they are lovely, all very family friendly.
pool area lovely, apartments look beautiful from what we seen of them, and the resturant looks spot on
you would be 2mins stroll to beach and 5mins stroll to port, yes there is a road at the front of this hotel and can be a bit of traffic during the day but to be honest we walk by here 2 or 3 times a day and never found the traffic a problem, around this area there is not a lot of traffic and at night seen very little traffic on this road,
we loved the viva tropic and have booked again for this year, but if we could not have got in there we were going to try an book alcudia garden

@ daisychain - we have stayed at the viva mallorca in the past and were very impressed but this was a 4 star aparthotel.

the viva tropic is only a 3star aparthotel and I wondered if there might be a little less of the luxury about the place.
can you tell me what kind of condition the tropic is in and what are the facilities like.

Hi, viva tropic is a fab hotel as you would read on the reviews, rooms are basic but spotless as is the entire hotel, there were 3 adults and 1 child in our room.
One bedroom with double bed and 2 sofa beds in living area, kitchen area with table and four chairs 2 ring cooker but no toaster or kettle but you can hire these from reception.
Staff are fantastic and i mean that for the entire hotel staff cleaners and all.
Pool area is lovely, resturant even better, entertainment great most nights all depends what you like, and always loads going on to keep everyone entertained.
personally in think viva tropic should be 4 star as do most people that go there, i have put a pic on of the pool area in the photo gallery.
