Information I have is that all British nationals have to get a £10 visa at the entry airport (Sharm) but it then goes to say that tourist visa is only necessary if you leave the free zone of Sinai.
What does this mean, no visa for Sharm only or 1 visa for Sharm plus 1 visa if you go outside Sharm?
Son is going to Nabq bay which is just north of Sharm.
Advice please so I can tell son what to do.
Thanks.
Cic
Bottom line is that if you only visit the Sinai area you do not need a Visa. You will need one if you travel outside the Sinai (eg a trip to Cairo). The exception is that a Visa is required to visit the Ras Mohammed national park south of Sharm el Sheikh.
Thank you alanwall, I will have a look at the Visa thread. Sorry I missed that one when I posted.
