Money.
I think we all agree that we spend a lot of money compared to what the Goan's earn.
1,000 rupees may not be much to us but, I for one don't want to look like a complete pillock flashing large denomination notes about in front of the Goan's.
My question is what is an expectable largest note to offer say in a shop or beach shacks or even the fruit sellers

When you change your cash,if you are given 1000 notes (and even 500) ask them to give you smaller notes,much easier to handle.
keep 20,50 and 100's for the taxis (never seem to have any change).Big notes in shops are no problem,but for road side sellers and beech sellers 10,20,50 will be fine.
Restaurants are no problem with any size note,same as shacks (as long as everyone does'nt turn up with 1000 rps notes).
