We went to the coco palm nearly two years ago for our honeymoon. On our first night I was sexually assaulted by a memebr of staff who broke into our room in the early hours of the morning. I am still fighting for compensation as it totally wrecked our honeymoon and has affected us to this day. The member of staff did not have a police clearance certificate that by law the resort/hotel have to get before employing any one. Needless to say, the staff member had a previous criminal record, which took me a year to obtain. The resort claimed, until I found the truth, that they had screened him. The holiday company have ignored us as much as possible too!

The resort is beautiful, and it is quite likely that this will not happen again. When you go to some where as beautiful and idyllic as this, you never for one moment imagine anything like this to happen. The member of staff climbed in over the outside bathroom wall.

If you go I have no doubt that you will find it to be out of this world, just be aware that these things do happen, even when you least expect it. Take care and have fun.
