Hiya - my girlfriend and I are off to Sardinia in June - flying into Cagliari. So far we have paid for flights but have no accomodation...3 things would love some help on...(i know not much!)
1. Car hire...is it worth doing when we arrive or book in advance? Also whats a reasonable price?
2. Accommodation, anyone recommend a good beach to stay near or any good hotels? preferably as close to Cagliari as poss for first night.
3. Where to visit - being somewhat lazy here - have the lonely planet guide but any first hand experiences of nice places to visit in the south?

Sorry, with regards to cost - probably looking around the mid range level...so avoiding the roughing it (done that in Thailand!) but also not willing to fork out for 5star
