Has anyone stayed at the above hotel. Its a Warner hotel and myself and my husband are looking at staying here in September.Just wonderd if its worth it to upgrade your room or if the standard Ambassador room is ok. and also what the food is like and prices of drinks and general info.
Cheers
Muzzy
we stayed here last april on a 3 night weekend break, it is in a lovely setting in the castle grounds.we stayed in the ambassadour room it was quiet big lovely and clean our friends stayed in a higher grade one that was in the turret of the castle.it was just bigger and had more furniture.the one we stayed in was ample and we are quite fussy.the food was lovely in a nice restaurant setting .drinks not too bad price wise but just take a nice bottle of brandy, for night caps in your room.we really enjoyed it you can go to rhyl for the day.you have lovely views from the grounds of the castle.hope this helps a bit
Thanks very much for the info. Sounds like we will just stick to the standard room then, as longs as its clean and it has a bed then im ok! Do people tend to dress up for dinner? and i asume its a buffet for breakfast but is it for dinner also? dont mind if it is, just interested!
yes buffet breakfast but at dinner it is a buffet or you can choose from a menue they give you.people seemed to wear at dinner what icall going out clothes men trousera and shirt ,ladies nice dresses skirts tops etc not formal but smart.hope this helps
I live in Rhyl, and have just read that you are staying in the Castle. I don't think you'll go wrong. you are in a great area with easy access to the A55 Dual carriageway, which will take you to Chester City within 30 minutes drive or Llandudno (seaside town in 20 minutes), or Rhyl in 10 minutes, however september it may be getting quiet by then. The castle is a popular venue for weddings, so food wise you will be fine.
Enjoy your stay
