Does anyone know if building work is going on at the side of thr Silver Sands Hotel, apparently it is. This land has been derelict for a few years know, i have heard all sorts of rumors EG, hotel, shops and apartments. Does anyone have any info, i can have a look in September but i was just wondering.

Yes there is building work being carried out next to the Silver Sands, I believe it's a combination of villas, apartments and shops.

Didn't see must work being done when we were there in June, I think it's going to take a number of years to complete

hoping to go to protaras end of Sept 07, had to cancel holiday to Zante June 07 due to operation and following treatment. We were really disappointed as we look forward to our hols. Why else would you go to work !!!! I would like the holiday to be a bit more special and have been trying to find a hotel/sc with a sea view in protaras which doesnt cost an arm and a leg.... I have found Siver Sands which sounds okay. Have read some reviews. Has anyone been recently and has anyone got any other suggestions. We want to go for 10/11 nights, I can only find Thomson and Thomas Cook who seem to do this number of nights.
