We are regular visitors to Aviemore and I'm sorry to tell you that there is no ice rink, or a arcade of any description either.
They have now opened a new swimming pool which I am told is very expensive.
There is how ever, things to do providing you have transport, it is worth visiting the following:
The Wildlife Centre, this is mostly outdoors so try and pick a dry day.
The Working Sheep Dog Farm, what this man can do with these dogs is amazing
Ride on the Funicular at the Cairngorm Mountain Centre

We were at Aviemore 2 years ago - stayed at Colyumbridge. 
( not sure on spelling !) We did the funicular railway and steam train. Another good day out is Landmark park
