Lido refurb in Puerto de la Cruz & First timer to Teneri

Hi. I'm new to this website - and Tenerife! Hoping that someone can answer a few questions for me please.
Does anyone know whether there is still building work going on at the Lido in PDLC? We are staying at the H10 Tenerife Playa hotel for 2 weeks in early May I believe the Tenerife Playa is right next door! The lido looked so nice it'd be a real shame if it's closed.
The reviews for the Tenerife Playa on this site seem good so I'm hoping it's going to be nice!

We (hubby and me) are hoping to go to Mt Teide among other places whilst in Tenerife. Is the bus network from PDLC generally good? I really don't want to hire a car - too scary!

Hi,

We were there in January and some of the Lido was closed and in front of the Tenerife Playa. Some boards were up with some netting, I would not think it would cause you a problem though as your views would be over the top of it.

There are organised tours available and I think the Titsa bus goes to Teide, INVALID URL I am not 100% sure as we always hire a car.

We are going on the 13th April so I will let you know what it is all like

Lido

We were there beginning of march and only the big pool was open,but there were plenty of beds and umbrellas to be had even on the weekends when the locals were there too. The water was very cold though!We were told the work should be completed within six months but looks like it will take a lot longer than that. Hope you enjoy your hol.
