Flying to goa next jan, wondering if to upgrade to premier. Is it worth it as for 2 adults 2 children and its £199 each (children are not cheaper which seems cheeky). what do you get as such a long flight do you get couple of meals. When i went to america you did get 2 meals.
thanks
we flew charter with Monarch and got two meals included. I gather that Monarch is the least popular carrier due to comments I've read recently - I can't say we had a great flight, as all upgrades were sold (maybe that tells you something!!) Drinks did cost however, so I recommended taking large bottles of water on board with you (or being prepared to pay), Monarch only handed out one cup to passengers on the whole flight, the rest were teas/coffees with meals. There is lots of info on flights on other threads - hope you find them useful.
If you can let me know who you're flying with/booked with as the price sounds excellent and we want to go in Jan.
Helen
I've just realised you mean the upgrades cost £199 - not the flight!! lol
hi sammy10 I would not waste your money to upgrade on the plane we did it two years ago and it was like you said it was £400 apx for two ......just think you could get yourself something nice in the jewellers if you go with F/C the seats are big enough my hubby is 6/4 and he was well pleased with the leg room .......when we did it we could not even get a drink the staff were all so busy...I wanted a ex pillow and was told they had none ......and the loos were not clean........so no i dont think you get anything for the ex £400.......hope this helps you..
Mytravel use a 2-3-2 configuration in the upgraded cabin and have a 36inch pitch so an upgrade is well worth the extra money.
Some airlines use 2-4-2 with a 32 or 34 inch pitch. If you will be in a 2-4-2 cabin save your cash - its a rip off!
We just get extra legroom £60-70.00 per person depending on the airline and find this is worth the money but would not pay the extra for the premium economy.
