We are a Mid-twenty something couple who are thinking of booking faliraki in May (outskirts somewhere like the Dias/Laganas Beach).
We are concerned that it will be over bearing in the centre of Faliraki (pa hassle, drunks etc.) and wanted some reassurance/guidance on this.
Plus if anyone can tell us which apartments to go for that would be fantastic! please please help!
Hi Kelly, unfortunately Falaraki will be like that because thats what it is, but do you have to go there, why not try one of the other resorts on Rhodes it's a really lovely Island with much more to offer than what you don't want to experience.
Take a look at Pefkos, quiet resort but with some great bars that stay open until the early hours. If you must, then catch the bus to Falaraki enjoy your evening and take a cab home (cab should cost about 40 euro each way), thats why I suggested the local bus there.
We went there as a large group, with our daughter, and they enjoyed the night life (late teens).
Hope this helps.
Kaz.
Can't recommend any particular apartments but if you're looking for a good beach and somewhere that v much caters to the english tourist then Faliraki is for you.
As others on here it woldn't be my choice of resort (i prefer Lindos) but it's not the 18-30s hell hole that it used to be.
Hello, we're staying in Kalithea in June for a week which is a ten minute ride to Falaraki and ten minute ride to Rhodes, it's got a few tavernas and restaurants but with Falaraki and Rhodes town being so close, perhaps you should consider Kalithea.
