dont buy your aqua shoes in the UK you can get them here for about 35le we have used ours all holiday and have had no problems.
Only i have a 4 year old and wondered if i would be able to get her some.
Thanks for the advice mrstella but i have already bought mine, im afraid im one of those women who doesnt like buying stuff on hol unless its jewellry, more sun cream or pressis and the kids wouldnt take kindly to mum shouting you cant go near that beach until ive bought you some shoes ps my hubis seriously into diving and snorkelling so when i said we needed 4 pairs of aqua shoes for the rest of us he was only to pleased to get his wallet out and go internet shopping with me and im never going to say no to that
kerryandkeith yes they have them in all the sizes available.
thanx
my aqua shoes have arrived and they are very comfy
Does anyone know if primark are selling the sea shoes yet? I bought mine for £3 and i used them for 2 weeks and also two weeks when i went to Cyprus last year. Hubby got his from Peacocks, but in our store they havent got any yet. I am hoping they have some in before we go June 5th.
The only ones I've seen in Primark are jellies. Anybody seen other types there? Otherwise I'll buy some when I arrive in Sharm.
Try this site, free delivery
The top 2 mens and all the ladies shoes on that site are similar to the ones you get in sharm (sharm are fake oneils) £3.50 each in sharm.
I will wait and buy mine in sharm then...
Thats for the link, but they are way too expensive as i chuck them after the hols due to being stinky. I only paid £3 and they lasted two holidays before being wore out. I only really wear them in Egypt, not anywhere else. Thanks anyway
Also soccer world in Lincoln has sea shoes - 75% off - selling at £2.99...wasnt my size, but i suspect other shops in other towns/cities will have them. Peacocks and PRIMARK only have flip flops at present.
Does anyone recommend we purchase Aqua Shoes for our holiday at Crowne Plaza, Sharm? Someone on here mentioned that there is no beach as such so we wouldn't need them whilst someone else mentioned we would.
Any help gratefully received.
Ta
Assuming you do intend to venture into the sea, then yes, you would be wise to get shoes. Their purpose is to protect you from things like sharp pieces of coral, sea urchins and anything else which could result in a painful experience. You can purchase the shoes in Egypt at a reasonable price or buy them here.
These shoes are not only useful for actually going into the sea, but excellent for kids to wear around the pool [especially toddlers] where it can get really slippy. Also just for wearing on the sand, as the sand does get very hot, and unlike flipflops you can go straight into the sea without having to take them off.
Cheers
i havent been able to find any suitable aqua shoes for myself and my son and have decided to try and buy them when we get to naama bay - im sure they will be cheaper than buying branded makes for over 25 quid a pair - and would prefer to give the business to egyptians - but can anyone tell me if they do large sizes as my 13 year old son needs an adult size 12 ? we have only 2 weeks to go and the only ones i found here to fit him were a well known sports brand but they didnt have the elastic string and toggle which id prefer and they were 39 quid!!!
also can anyone tell me the exchange rate in the banks in naama bay for english pounds ? i can only get 9.79 here ?
thanks
I bought a size 11 equivalent in Sharm, I was in Sharm old town but i'm sure you'll find them in Naama Bay.
Don't know if you have JB Sports in your part of the country but they do a cheap line in aqua shoes.
