Hi
Just out of curiosity, I read somewhere that cargo on commercial aircraft is not x-rayed the same as passenger luggage.
Is this correct? If so, in these days of aviation security, how do they get round this?
More importantly, how does anyone know if there is a bomb in the cargo?
What would stop someone sending a bomb via cargo, without travelling on that particular plane?
I don't wish to sound like a dramatist, but I have often wondered if ALL the cargo has been x-rayed.
Thanks

If you are travelling on a UK airline, they will ensure that their handling agents overseas comply with similar procedures for your return leg, so you shouldn't worry too much about that either....
Hope this helps!
