Sri Lanka has forever been calling me and unfortunately now i'm ready to go it seems it might not be the best time with regards to the weather. what do others think?
also, anything political going on that i should be aware of or is the place relatively settled at the moment?

We went for 2 weeks in late June last year and had barely any rain. What you have to bear in mind nowadays is that climate change is causing weather all over the world to not follow its normal pattern so going in the dry season may not guarantee you a rain free time. We have just got back from Cuba. Despite being the end of the dry season there, we had much more rain than we ever saw in the wet season in Sri Lanka! Can't comment on the current political situation but we had no problems last year.
