I didnt think you were entitled to Duty Free within the EU, then again I do know that smoking tabs in Greece is a cheaper way to kill yourself than the UK method. Incidentally with all pre death hospital arrangements paid for by me, accept my apologies if you have private health insurance.
there is no duty free in EU since 2002 if i remember correctly. still cheaper tho in comparison to U.K. officially you can take 2 boxes of ten in each on your way back. unofficially two in the bags you give away in airport and two more in hand. again anofficially a greek i knew once upon a time in Eastbourne took 22 boxes in one go in order to sell...
needless to say more...

yeh it isnt duty free as such but still a hell of alot cheaper than in the uk
It has the duty paid in Greece the same as the ones bought here have the duty included in the price. It's just that the greek government don't charge the ridiculous amount that our lot charge in the name of trying to discourage people from smoking. So as long as it's for your own use bring in what you want.
When we were in Crete a 2 years ago a couple we met bought a suitcase full of local brand cigarettes for 12 euros per 200.They said they were OK.
