There was an "only fools and horses bar" in Pernera which is a short walk (20minute stroll from Protaras).. and if memory serves me.. there might have been one in Protaras as well...

(Ayia Napa was more of a car journey from Protaras.. about 15mins.... If you watched the Holiday Club Reps series where they were in Ayia Napa, Sid little drove to Protaras/Pernera for the Indian Resturant...)

Ayia Napa - 15mins Car drive - Protaras - 20 mins walk - Pernera - 15 mins walk - Paralimni

But often travel agents will say Protaras when something is in Pernera or Paralimni..

Which Friends bar? the one in Pernera ??? I liked that place, was a good starting point for setting off out of a night... (also not bad for coming back to after a night.. as it was midway between the Papantonia and the Paschalia, the 2 hotels we were stopping in)

I am sure it was around the corner from OFAH bar, i think its a bar now that has live music and entertainment, quite good actually.

Bells bar in Protaras show only fools and horses shows all day everyday.

From the fools and horses you sort of crossed the road, went along a bit, onto a side road, and the Friends bar was an open sided bar on your left...

The bloke behind the bar lived in a little house/room thing on the top road from the Paschalia towards the main road going up towards Paralimni...

Have they still got all those giant TVs?

i am staying at the brilliant apts in sept, if you do decide to stay there perhaps you could let me know what is it like, have read some reveiws and it sounds great, not been to cyprus for 15 yrs last stayed at limmasol so very excited

AskCy,The friends bar is still there showing Friends all day long,the owner is a guy called Louis another guy called John used to work there but they had a big fall out last year and John is now working @ a bar at the far end otf the high street.
Its normally great during the World Cup with the big screens but you have to get there very early.
As for Fools and Horses,there is a bar called just that,that plays it all day upon till about 9pm,we love it! Its puts you in a fab mood for the rest of the night.

Closer than Pernera for you would be the Only Fools and Horses bar on the strip in Protaras.
