I don't know if this helps Sue but I was getting 60.8 Lm to the pound on 26/04/06! You will always get a good rate from the tourist/exchange shops in the Qawra area just off Tourist St.

Having looked at the weather details from the weather station at Luqa the weather appears to be very cold and chilly only about 70 degree Fahrenheit, as there is no wind chill factor it will feel warmer than that.

There are many small exchanges in Triq it-Touristi, there is a small newsagent type shop near the Bugibba bus station that offers very slightly more than most places and is commission free, I think it is up the street with the police station or the street before that one.
There is also an HSBC bank in Baysquare down on the sea front.
To be honest the rate doesn't vary much and is usually between 60Lm and 61Lm.

My tip for the day, when you arrive at Luqa airport (just after passport control) try to find one of the small stands that have small free maps of Malta, these maps are to promote Airport Value shopping but they are very handy and also contain many street plans.

I have just been printing off all the bits of info I have gathered from HT members and recommended links, and I must get off the computer and concentrate on packing now.
