hi everyone, its now May which means I can say im going on holiday next month! the temp is supposidly going to be 25 degrees here on thursday so im hopefully gonna get a couple of hours in the garden to try and get rid of my milk bottle legs lol its getting really exciting now isnt it? I do feel bad for those that should have been flying tomorrow

but hope that they all have a fab time in their new holiday destinations.

Any news yet on Nick Knowles? I too watched him on DIY SOS wondering if he was gonna make an appearance at the KABC.

Not sure about the mozzies in Kos but i went to Corfu 17 yrs ago and was bitten by mossies.

Ido go abroad every year, never been bitten in any other country though.So i am definately taking loads of mozzie repelants .Theres a wrist band you can buy from Boots to keep mozzies away, think i'm gonna invest in some of those. :wink:

Well its going to be hotter here on Thursday than it will be in Kos...just my luck....and i will be at work!!!

Anyway...i went to Kos 3 years ago and didn't have a mozzie problem...don't forget your cardies girls for the evening....the wind blows a bit which is nice in the daytime....

Hi All popped into travel agent while in town to-day, to purchase a late check out room as it hadn't crossed my mind and we have a 05.45 flight so thought the extra £40 worth every penny although only guarenteed till 6 pm!
So what do we do after that? and is it right that the all inclusive rights finish at 6 pm on the last day aswell? does that mean we will have to pay for the evening meals and drinks etc ? :shrug

I know I havn't got there yet and i'm already talking about the return but it was something i didn't take a lot of notice of when I booked now i'm starting to think how awkward it might be with the kids :bhead

I had it in mind that Mosiquito's tend to be worse in lush green areas which i gather this is so i would prepare for them just incase eat lots of Marmite :yuck

hi all, we went to Kos last year at the end of May and didn't see any mozzies, although a couple we picked up at another hotel on the way back to the airport said there were loads there and were glad to be going home!

Just realised we have a late check out room booked but our flight isn't until 00:40! We might be lucky in getting it later than 6pm though as this is what it says on the FC site when you opt for a late room.

If you're leaving on a later flight, then you can make the most of your last day with the exclusive use of a room until 6pm and, in some cases, even midnight

I'll try and ring tomorrow to check this out.

I've been to Kos before about the same time and there wasn't a mozzie problem at all, it's not as lush as Corfu which is well know for a mozzie problem. I can vouch for it from personal experience (hence while I won't go back there). I didn't find it cool in the evenings also.

In the first brochure it states

Late checkout rooms are available up to 9pm at a supplement.

Although as per my previous post I have also read that they can be available up until midnight.

As usual it seems FC can't make up their minds!!

hi everyone this site is well and truly addictive. Last year when looking at Oceania didnt get hooked until first reviews were posted but this time ive got to look every day. Cant wait until everyone posts their eviews. Anybody else out there going 2nd August with girls around 8? Ive seen some flying from Manchester on night flight but not sure wat children situation is.

Hi, we have been told that our late check out room is until 9pm, also with regards all inclusive finishing at 6pm im not too sure although on other all inclusive holidays my wrist band was never removed infact still had it on when I got home, so in the past we have had evening meal and drinks right up until the coach picked us up. So thats another thing for 24thrs to look out for lol

We not sure at the mo wether or not to stay in a hotel at gatwick the night before as parking alone is nearly as much as hotel and parking, anyone else doing this?

ello everybody peeps how is everybody tonight? would it be possible for anyone to teach me some Greek. because believe it or not I dont even know one word of Greek.

Ive just had a thought, if all the 24thers and others who are flying at 7.00am have to be at gatwick at 5.00am what will you do? get there late at night and sleep in the airport or leave really early in the morning to get there. Sorry to sound nosey but just interested, we live about 2.30 hours away so will have to be up at about 2.00am to get there for 5.00am. probably wont be able to sleep anyway.what about you? what are you going to do?

I've been watching this forum with great interest for the past few weeks. Me and my family(consisting of myself - Mandy,hubby- Steve, Storm-daughter age 8 and Teigan-daughter age 4) have booked to go to KABC on August 2nd for 2 weeks. It all sounds very interesting at the moment! Hopefully a fantastic time will be had by all.

We've been all inclusive for the past 3 years and never had to pay for drinks or food prior to leaving the hotel because the all inclusive ends at a certain time. I certainly hope it doesn't happen here as our return flights are particularly naff, and we prob won't leave the hotel till very late. Could'nt get a late checkout room either - Doh!!

Well I always go all-inclusive and have always got drinks and food up to the minute we leave, and gone home with the wrist bands on....Our flight is at 7:10am so we need to be there for 5am....dropping the car at the car park at 4:30 so have to leave home at 3:30am...i love doing that its really exciting...get up in the dark and go on holiday...reminds me of when I was little ........

I'm looking forward to my holiday now!!!! feel like I know all the 24thers already!!!
