Just out of curiosity, do Riu still own this as I believe it is a union of two of their hotels (the Gergana beach the sister hotel also being theirs) or has it been sold on?
We've booked for 2007, but as it has been revamped reviews are still to come out. However if Riu do still own it, then it should be good!!

Hi Pam,
According to the RIU website, their only Bulgarian hotels are in Golden Sands, Obzor & Sunny Beach - no mention of any of their hotels in Albena.
The Albena Beach Club (also shown as 'Albena Playa' on the Albena virtual tour) is a composite of the old "Mura" and "Slavuna" hotels.

I'd checked out the website as well and couldn't find any reference to any of the hotels that they looked to have owned and wondered if it was another big chain maybe that had taken them over

Hi, as stated in an earlier posting, my daughter and son in law will be at Hotel on 26th May I am due at another hotel in Albena on 2nd June, I will have reason to visit and mooch and get whet info I can. Tonyt.
