Hi. My wife, 9 year old son and I are visting Bulgaria for the first time in June.
We are not too keen on large resorts, so have booked Hotel Ritza in St Konsantin. Have we made a good choice?
I can't find any recent reviews for this hotel, has anyone been there?
Also, is a day trip to Romania a good idea?
Many thanks

I must admit that I prefer the smaller resorts like Albena & Sveti Konstantin - can't help on the Ritza though, I'm afraid.
See Tonyt's post in THIS THREAD for details of the Romania trip.

If you are not too keen on large resorts, St Konstantin should suit you. In communist times called Druzhba meaning 'friendship', it is the original Bulgarian Black Sea resort, and in a woodland setting.
Despite having many more hotels nowadays than when we have stayed there, it has not got over developed.
The Romanian trip might not be a good idea with a 9 year old. It's a long time on the coach, with possible delays crossing the border both ways, and precious little time in Romania itself.

They took us to a traditional Bulgarian resteraunt last year in St Konstantin & it was fantastic.
I can't wait to get back roll on the 2nd July
Can't wait to go !!!!
