This was about the Peacock Pub in Candolim and it is still going strong. Only went in there once - don't much like going in pubs at home so just went there for curiosity and in the hope that they had managed to get a supply of decent draft lager - sadly not.

Must say not my favourite place.
I went once when I was in Candolim last year - not very impressed because really it just reminded me of the pubs you get in England which is not what I go to Goa for!! 
We went into this pub and I found the owners very rude, they didnt even want to talk to any body but there little cliche, also the food was awful. When they served the food and drinks it was practically thrown onto the table. NEVER AGAIN
Must say I agree with all the above comments, we went into the Peacock in Jan '05 after seeing the TV programme. Not very impressed, the atmosphere was'nt what you would call welcoming, it was like we had walked in on a private party, we had one drink and left.
We have had a few good nights at the Peacock. We mainly go to see Pauli who sings there. Was made welcome. But must say the first night we went there to have a meal as well. But was told they do not serve food. Only crisps! 
I watched that programme and,I must admit,it put me right off Goa. Obviously I've learnt since that this is not typical of Goa.
