lezlie,

the quote HAS to be from phone call,,,,only!

Possibly the reason that you got a second quote for only a week is the way their website works, I have had the same problem myself.

No idea what the prices are, but the option to save £100 is still there.
I don't claim that this will be a good deal but anyone who has decided to book via first choice may as well phone and give it a try.

best wishes

Direct Holidays also have £100 off per booking just now as well.

Lez - how long are you going for again? Direct Holidays have one hotel in Calangute where the single supp is cheap, £1 per night last year, not sure if it's the same for next winter but it's cheap anyway. Don't know off the top of my head but I'm sure other hotels have cheap single supps too.

We booked 2 weeks for 5 people at the Going Places shop, they gave us a discount of £185, so the total cost is £2900.

Not to get off topic but many of you may be unaware that to phone First Choice or for that matter most travel agents and other businesses almost always now involves ringing an 0870 prefix. This can cost up to 12p a minute and amounts to a premium rate phone call.

I personally find it disgraceful that to book my holiday or to make an enquiry after paying I am being ripped off by premium rate numbers.

Just think of it this way.You are giving the travel agent your hard earned money and that is not enough they have to s...w you out of more every time you ring.

Thank heaven for the internet. It allows me to email all these companies and vent my fury.I now always book through the internet as this winds me up so much.

Sorry Fiona if this strays too far off topic.Feel free to delete me.

Anyone who is interested in booking with First Choice to get the offer that Del has mentioned could always use http://www.saynoto0870.com where you might just find a geographical number for them
