Hi, I am thinking of booking the jabeque apartments in figuerets in August and would like a honest opinion of taking children (6 & 4) to this resort. The reviews look great on the apartments, but some of the resort views seem quite mixed. We do like things quite lively with something for the kids to do & some nice places to eat & have a late drink. Are there the usual bouncy castles & amusement type places etc around the resort? Any advice would be great.
Punkido
We stayed in Figuretes 3 years ago. To be honest we would not recommend this for children. There is not much of a beach. The entertainment was very limited. We ended up walking up to Playa D'en Bossa every day for the beach and every night for the entertainment.
When we did walk into Figuretes we did not see any entertainment for children.
We are glad we did not take the children on this holiday, therfore when we booked this year(for 2 adults . 2 children 16.4) we have booked for Playa D'en Bossa.
Hi punkido! If you like the beach I wouldn't go to Figueretas as it mostly rocks. My children were 10 & 12 when we stayed there and there was hardly anything to do in the resort. The nightlife is really based on a nice meal. I agree with mouse322 Playa D'en Bossa is much better for children.
My daughter loves the beach at Figuretas, It has two very shallow bays which are great for walking out in and seeing the fish. The rocks are great for catching crabs and little fish with nets!!!
Plus ibiza town is only 10 minutes walk away!
Playa D'en Bossa beach is only 5 minutes away anyway if you prefer a longer stretch of beach!
we have booked the jabeque apts and are going in 3 days time, they are actually situated in playa d'en bossa at the far end so you have the best of both worlds being close to Figueretas and within walking distance of ibiza town. I've looked into the area and playa d'en bossa has bouncy castles, trampolines, a water park etc, the beach is supposed to be nice as well.
Hi, to everyone who replied about taking children to Ibiza - I think judging by the replies Playa d'en Bossa seems the better resort (?) I will have a look through the hotel reviews for somewhere to stay. Thanks all for your help.
playa den bossa fine for kids, read my just back post. there are 2 kids parks with rides, go karts trampolines, bouncy castles, arcade games etc. all the pubs are child friendly and usually have an arcade game, or air hockey game etc as well. dont get me wrrong it would get a bit boring after a while doing the same things, but better than not at all. also you can take a ferry ride to ibiza town, glass bottom boat tours etc.
We've been to Playa d'en Bossa for the last two years, first year we stayed at the Fiesta Palm Beach and last year at the Club Don Toni. Both were great for the kids. You have entertainment put on by Thomson Superfamily and by the hotels own Fiesta team, so theres always lots going on. Food was great at both places, personally I think the Palm Beach had the edge over the Don Toni, although the Don Toni is bigger and you can use the pool of the hotel too. Don Toni isn't superfamily this year but still has the kids clubs.
