Nancy, the greek lady who has started the new travel company Corfu Escapes used to work in the tourist industry in Corfu. I have spoken to her several times and she seems very helpful and professional. This first year her packages only operate out of Gatwick and Manchester.

I know one of the hotels on the books of Corfu Escapes quite well but have not stayed there. The Belle Helene at Agios Georgios north has an exellent reputation over the years. For many years the hotel was fully taken by German Tour Operator Neckermans but now has negotiated a diiferent contract enabling the owners to offer some rooms independantly. Nancy of Corfu Escapes has taken some of those rooms for the season to offer as packages or accommodation only.

I've swapped a few emails with Nancy this week, she seems very efficient. My friend in work has just book 2 weeks in August with Corfu Escape so I will be very interested to hear her report when she gets back.
