I've visited Anti Paros twice but only for the day from Paros. In my opinion there would be little to amuse a 17 yr old there. There are two ferry services from Paros to Anti Paros. The tourist boat from the harbour at Parikia takes around 30 - 40 minutes I think while the car ferry at Pounda takes about 10 minutes I guess. However you then need to catch a bus back to Parikia the main town.

With regard to Paros I think it would depend on where you were staying. Parikia does have some night clubs although I've never visited them but does have an open air cinema! Hope this helps.

Certainly not a lot of entertainment on Antiparos for a 17yr old unless there are others there of a similar age at the same time. Parakia has quite a bit of night life, bars etc and again it would depend on when you go in the season as to how busy it all is. Our favourite place is Naoussa in the north of Paros, again depends on when and who else is there, great place for people watching in the square or harbour front.

My sister and I stayed in Parakia last August, although we are more your age but still 17 in the head. We loved it. The bars and restaurants were much more upmarket than the ususal Greek islands. We have been doing the Greek Islands for the past 20 years and loved it here. It is so easy to get about and visit other islands on the ferries from Parakia.

There are 2 or 3 good clubs also and lively bars.

I wouldn't recommend AntiParos for a 17 year old but it is good to visit for the day. I would think a bit too quiet for him at night.

We have booked to go back in August 2007, we feel there is still a lot for us to see and do in the area.

Also brilliant for walking. We came across some great local bars.
