For some reason France has never been a package deal sort of a place.

The nearest we go to it was Pierre and Vacances hotels and resorts and often the ferry was included as part of the deal.

Maybe it's because you just don't find the big hotels there like you do with Spain, Tenerife etc where the tour operators just block book whole swathes of rooms and if they don't book them they can withstand that loss-but France is just entirely different.

It's also very popular with their own countrymen who love nothing better than to go somewhere peaceful and quiet -a bottle of wine, baguette and cheese-they don't have the package deal culture.

Certainly I would just book your flights and have a look on the internet for your accommodation.

St Tropez is lovely-you'll have agreat time-take plenty of cash though as all along that coasline is not cheap.

Club Cantabrica do package holidays with mobile home accommodation to Port Grimaud. They stay at Les Prairies de la Mer campsite which is accross the bay from St Tropez and reachable by local bus or even bike.

I have only spent a few hours at this site en route to other parts. Give it a look and see if it is what you want.
