i always take one of those tempory filling kits availiable from chemists there not brilliant but get you out of trouble if it's a filling or a cap. have also found superglue holds a crown better for a couple of days. but not really supposed to use that but hasn't killed me yet

Thanks Willy for the tip!! Turns out I might not have to get it done as I have an infection :( and am on antibiotics. Lets just hope it doesnt reoccur on hols!!

Dentist in Cyprus are very reasonable and you do not need to find one to help you, you walk in and if he or she can do your treatment then and there they will, of course you will have to pay but it is miles cheaper to have treatment here...highly recommended that you do!!

I use a great dentist in Chlorakas Pafos (paphos) he has all the latest equipment and knows how to use it, even uses the latest laser drills..

You are a star giving me that info. I am so looking forward to my holiday but really panicking in casemy toothache returns when there and I need emergency treatment. It would ruin the holiday. If I know I can get a dentist okay then I can cope with the fact that it might happen. I have been sitting here doing searches all morning for a dentist (purely to put my mind at ease) but you have just done that.

I had visions of sitting in a dental surgery with someone who could not tell me what was going on and me sitting with a guide to pick out some words so I could speak to them.

Thanks so much!!!!

Ha!! most Cypriots speak better English than I do, and usually they are trained in the UK or the USA...no worries on that one, also Andreas has Diane (English) who is his assistant, lovely lady who will hold your hand if needed, I always pretend I do, but to be honest it is always pain free..even the bill!!

I thought that might be the case but was not sure. I wasnt up to now but am looking forward to my hols since there is someone like this I can go to if I have pain - it will make such a difference.

I might just go anyway when I am there as I need a couple of things done and to be free of the old fashioned drill sounds great!! Not the best holiday choice but hay it beats the UK. Do you happen to know the hours they work?

Thanks so much once again.
