Any bars that will be showing world cup in Gumbet/Bodrum?

Hi!

I am away to Turkey for 2 weeks in just over a week 8-)

and I am staying in Gumbet.

Only problem is, I am there when 2 of the England world cup games are on, and I will be gutted if I dont see these so if anyone knows any bars or anywhere that might be showing these matches on the 10th and 15th June, PLEASE help me out!

most bars will have signs saying which games they are showing (they were doing in Marmaris for even the Conference play-off semi's!) I think you'd be very unlucky not to find somewhere :shock:

Every bar, restaurant, and shop in Gumbet and Bitez will have the World Cup matches on - Turks are fanatic about football - any football. I have a mate who says of her Turkish husband - he would watch 22 ants play football :roll:

If you want to get a decent meal while the matches are on, order and get served well before kick-off - cos most of the restaurant staff will be crowded round a telly once the game gets underway.

yes they will have boards outside displaying the games and times to be shown on huge screens which they have!!

world cup in kustur club

hi

we are staying in the kustur club, kusadasi from 15th june for one week. this will be right in the middle of the world cup and my boyfriend loves football....so i was just wondering whether this would be shown the hotel? would be a bonus if it was as we can take advantage of the all inclusive drinks! thanks.

I'm probably wrong here but if the Kuster Club is the hotel near the little village near the Tusan Beach, then not only will the hotel put something on, but each of the bars in the village will as well. Just get there early for a good seat and be prepared to drink alot.

Claire .. The bar in the hotel is a pretty decent size, so i am sure the matches will be shown.

Steve .. A lot of Kustur has been torn down over the winter, they have really cracked down on illegal buildings (where the owners didnt have permission to build extensions etc) & it turns out that the majority of the bars, restaurants & shops in Kustar had done just that. (the same has happened in kusadasi itself ..but luckily the centrum has been finished in time for the new season) Kustur looks a bit like a building site at the moment & the building work wont be finished anytime soon, ive heard next summer is when it is expected to be completed,

Most definatley!

There are loads of bars within walking distance of the Imbat (on Ladies beach) that will be showing all the matches.

there is a beach front bar just up from the hotel on the entrance to the promenade of ladies beach (on the left hand side) that has a huge screen & a good atmosphere.

other popular bars for watching sports are 'Somewhere else' & halikanas .. both situated along the promenade
