the weather is brill it was 26 degrees but it is very windy thats not a bad thing though because when it gets to warm the breeze is welcome!! we stayed in la penita which is on the main strip it is a basic apartments but you couldnt want or expect anymore they are really big with a living room kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. the pool is great and the people are really friendly.
it wasnt really busy over there at the moment but there were enough people there to mix with. the best restaurants are probably the lanis group they are well worth the money! there was a nice we place called the barge inn it does quizes and bingo evey night and you can win up to 400 euros! you get two steak dinners in there for 11euros!! you cant beat that.
you have to go to see the drag artist in stars bar she is the best really really funny and you dont pay in she starts at 9 and goes on until 1 or so she dont make fun of you or anything.
also a geat place to go is the music hall tavern its a drag show you do pay in to that one it is very very glam and you get your dinner in with the price we paid 27 euros but it was well worth it we never stopped laughing!!
watch out for the restaurants that leave bottles of wine on your table they are NOT free even thou they are advertised!! also check your bill always . the restaurants advertise cheap food outside but when you get your bill they charge you normal price (dearer) and bread that is left on your tble is not free!
overall lanzarote is great there is lots to do and see but if its a lazy hol your looking for this is it.

I'm a regular annual visitor to the apartments and can't recommend them enough. If you had stayed elsewhere on Lanzarote you would certainly not be describing them as "basic" because believe me they're far, far from it in comparison to others.
