Well I'm back from a great weekend in Marmaris. It was my first time visit and it was great.

Our group did very and I was soooo  impressed with the Marmaris swimming center. I had heard it was built in 150 days. We live in Antalya which is much larger city than Marmaris also more populated and we DO NOT HAVE such a great complex. Hats off to the government and mayor in Marmaris.

I have added my review of the hotel we stay at and was very impressed especially after reading some of the other reviews. I would stay there again.

One last thing to add. Sorry to say that I do prefer the Konyaalti beach of Antalya over the beach front at Marmaris. Can someone explain the run -off water flowing into the ocean and the foul smell????

:D Hello every one

Has any one had the pleasure off staying at the above hotel yet this year

Reason im asking is im taking my two young twin grand-daughters there for a week in July

Thet are 2yrs old and hate they photo been taken

What i need to know is we going A/I will be be photo cards for id or wristbands im hoping its the latter :D

As im going to have screaming kids trying to get pictures done for pic cards.

I no its not a big issue im trying to find a way round it if it is pic cards

If its wrist bands that will be great they will think they have they own little braclets on.

Im not relishing the thought off them screaming after a long journey in the heat off the day.

I may be just worring myself silly over nothing but id rather no what to let myself in for before i go

I be most gratefull for any one who has recently stayed there to help me out with this dilema please :D

Dear celine2002uk,

I wish I could help you answer your questions about ID's but as you know we stayed Full board not A/I. Did you ever try to call the hotel directly??
Good luck!!! 8)

Celine,

Hi again. This morning I called the hotel of your behalf and asked your question. They use photo ID's, but one card for each room. Therefore your grand children do not have to have their pictures taken. Enjoy your trip. 8)

Just to let you know that there is a big sign outside the hotel welcoming everyone to use the pool and slides for as long as they want so even though you have paid for the hotel you may have to queue up with the general public

But this goes for most if not all hotels in Turkey/Marmaris, doesnt it? As long as Joe Public are buying drinks/food they are welcome to use hotel facilities?

Correct but Armar is also an all inclusive hotel and usually it does not happen in that type

:D Thanks John

Has you know we always do A/I and normally they wont let joe public use facilty's

But its not a problem to us we dont mind it works in our favour really :D

We planning to meet Pammie (holiday truths member) and ive been in contact with her saying we will meet up

She has got 2 teenagers and 2 young children in her family

Same as me :pele

I was not sure if her family would be allowed into our's but by the sounds of it she can so thats great. :glynis

They are staying in the Julian its the first time in Turkey for them

I recommend to her that her family should attend one off the H-T party's

So hopefully they is one on when we are there?

And we can all attend together :pele :pele :pele

We only in Marmaris for a week

What i was wary about will i be ok getting a dolmus over to Icmeler with 2 toddler's and 2 buggy's in tow?

I would walk itx  but its a long walk :yikes

And my teenage daughter would have a fit if i ask her to walk it :rofl

Well not long to go now 5 weeks Monday

See you all there :glynis

Armar usually charge joe public £10 per person per day for them to come into the hotel and use the all inclusive facilities i.e drink and eat as much as they want so your friends can join you if they wish.

As for the party then pm me before you leave and I will check if we have a party your week and if so I will give you Rami's number and he will pick you up from Marmaris and bring you over for it.

If you look towards the top of the page you will see a search facility and if you type in armar there are at least 20 topics shown about the Armar.
