I haven't stayed there but once had afternoon tea at the hotel when visiting Udaipur, it is quite spectacular but from what I understand very expensive. Combined with the visa fee for India a 4 day visit would be costly. If you go ahead with your plan you could combine the trip with Dubai, Bangkok or any other major far eastern city. Or fly south to Goa for a few days relaxation.
I havent stayed there but I have been to Udaipur twice and I dont think a 4 day trip is worth it as Udaipur is some distance from an International airport. What you might want to do is spend the whole journey travelling around Rajasthan, and you should also be able to take in Agra aswell.
