Not stayed have you seen this website
Stayed at Rodos Maris a couple of years back, had a great week.
Very clean, room good size. Fridge in room topped up with beer and pop every other day, the lemonade was lush.
Hotel not near a village only several hotels around. Hire cars on site, or you can do what we did which was to use the local buses. Used them to travel to Lindos and Rhodes.
Food buffet style definitely put on a few pounds. Do have specialist restaurant but need to book, we didn't use. If we went out for day then they provided a packed lunch.
Animation team for children seemed to be very active.
Entertainment every night but we are not into music etc. so didn't attend.
Has own beach with bar where you can get drinks and snacks.
Clientele were multinational.
We would happily go again.
Mumsy.
They looked very good hotels one on each side of the street.
You cross over by a foot bridge.
The resort was lovely and clean and beach looked good.
I think Kiotari is one of the nicer resorts
We're off there in July. Does anyone know what the international brand drinks are?
Mumsy - thanks so much for that. I see someone says you use a footbridge for the beach????? Great to hear food was OK. Not bothered about being near much as e will chill most of the week and maybe just do a day out to Lindos. Only staying a week - any 'must do's'?
We go on the 15th - 22nd. We'll see you there then!!
Stick23 as I can recall, remember seeing bells and teachers whisky, smirnoff and absolute vodka. Need to ask for them or will be given local alternative. Have to say local vodka was fine for us especially as we mainly got ours from pool bar, just outside our room. Not sure that they kept many brands there. We didn't need to ask for them as bar tender always had one ready for us as we passed. Sometimes needed to use soft drinks in room fridge to dilute.
Have a great time
Mumsy
Yay! Stcik23 then I'll know someone already - it's really funny because my kids think I know everyone everywhere in the world, but it's just that I always find someone on the forums who is going to be there at the same time and end up saying Hi! Have you upgraded to a maisonette or suite? we are just in a standard family room.
hi there anyone who has just been,could you let me know what it is like and is the rumour true that long trousers are needed at night in the resturants;;
There are International drinks but there aint NO BRANDED international drinks that you will recognise. I promise, and believe me I know. There certainly isn't Smirnoff & Absolute Vodka.
The international drinks are things like 'Um Bongo Caribbean Rum' which is international because it was made in Barbados or 'South of Kilkenny' Irish Cream, instead of Baileys.
Believe me, I have had sooooooooo much experience of this Hotel and the very mention of 'International' drinks has me crawling up my own backside.

More than likely, but honest, it doesn't hurt

If you can get up the long legs of your trousers.
Sorry, Mods, I'm in a sarcy mood. 4 weeks to go.
International drinks mean not made locally eg. i want to an all inclusive a few years ago and as a whiskey drinker {thats malt whiskey} i heard one chap complaining about the quality of the so called local whiskey, never the less i tried it and thought this taste familiar, i ask to see the bottle it said produced and bottled in Scotland for XYZ shipper of London for Keo Cy ltd, i wont say the brand that it reminded me of but it was not a cheap UK brand..i have also had navy rum and brandy which have been as good as most pub house brands {sorry don't know about vodka.. don't drink colorless tasteless liquid unless its water}
as for dress codes i have said it many times on these forums..
What is wrong with some common courtesy if a restaurant or hotel has a dress code it is for the benefit of all customers ..i don't want to be sitting down to dinner net to someone in shorts and tee shirt or beach-ware i personally always go to dinner in a shirt, tie, long Tailored trousers and yes even a jacket ..although from a working class family it was the way i was brought up to dress and behave.,its only the so called modern English standards lat let us all down
my own opinion

Parky 45 may have been in a sarcy mood but I dont get the sarcasm........ maybe its just me??
An update on Rodos Maris,
Nice Hotel, Greek 5 Star. If you can go there with an open mind you will have a good time. The weather WILL be great, the food will be repetative and the entertainment will be alright ..... at best.
Don't come back saying 'it's definately not five star' etc when you have paid 450 quid for a weeks all inclusive!! It's infuriating. Theres plenty to do for kids and they will love it in the summer holidays. If I am honest, it's a sunny Butlins really.
Smart dress in the restaurant is too stop bare chested folk coming in (men & women!!) but it doesn't have to be smart. The fod is buffet style and the kids again will enjoy it.
The pool is small but they have three, it can be a wrestle for a sunbed in the morning! The beach has loads though and there is a snackbar down there.
Get out and about, if only for a day as there is a bus stop 10 metres from reception. Most of all, dont expect St Tropez, just because its five star. Its a nice clean greek hotel.
How international do you need the drinks, anyway? If you're in Greece even the water's international.
