Have already contacted Jimbox on this - But having just returned from Crete and done some organised walks am looking for links to any in Pafos area when we go in October. We did some last year on our own.
Just thought that some members may have some info.
Many thanks in advance

Helen,
Thanks Janet
It depends a bit on how hard walkers you are.
You might also wish to try the Cyprus Tourist Association (http://www.visitcyprus.org.cy/)
They have a new book out which covers the E4 long distance footpath, which goes all round the south of the island (opened last year), as well as including many other/all? of the organised routes.
I emailed them recently from England and they sent a whole pile, including the book.
You can get specific leaflets for given trails in the CTO offices and other places e.g. the Troodos information centre.
We went for a week in May and did the following: all through the Avgas gorge and round down to Lara, the Artemis Trail round the top of Chionistra (Troodos), Cedar Valley Circular, Horteri Trail from Stavros tis Psokas (Pafos forest), a little round tour from Smigies (Akamas foested area.) A nice mix of different areas and kinds of terrain.
You would have to organise carefully to do the E4 as they appear to be long stages but I reckon from near Kykkos to Stavros, then nearly down to Polis (take a taxi the last bit) would do 2 good days.
Be a bit careful using any old-ish books for routes. They might give ideas but the ones I had proved a bit misleading because things change. Most importantly, many of the old unsurfaced roads in the mountains have now been tarmaced and their importance upgraded - also becoming busier with more traffic.
Do try me again if you want any more ideas.
Good luck and good walking!
Clare
