Thanks for the replies. I just wanted to check as I met my wife in the pub 15 years ago in August. She wants to pop back to the bar for sentimental reasons, but every time we pop back to the Costa Brava another one of our favourite bars seems to have closed down. Glad it's still open.

It was open last year but it was really quiet. Bar staff were really friendly and excellent company. Please pay them a visit as they were most kind and helpful to us and it would be a shame to see this pub close.

If you do visit pass on the best wishes of the Scots Mother and her two daughters who they looked after well even to the point of escorting us back to our hotel.

just got back from calella,(last night)
the red lion pub is not open this year.some windows where broken,and the doors where padlocked.

Have been watching postings re this bar, but have refrained from adding till now.

I for one am glad to see the back of this tacky dismal place.
