Jodie ... if you have a branch of LloydsTSB locally, it may be worth checking it out, as some branches are still selling Sterling Travellers Cheques commission free (even to non-account holders). Failing that, M&S are selling them at a commission rate of 1%.

Hi,
Thanks David. I actually work for Barclays but their travellers cheques are VISA and I have had problems cashing them in Spain. I have got a lloyds near me and M&S in Brum so I probably go there. Thank you again for your help because I was always unsure whether to take sterling or Euro.

Jodie ... I think M&S also use Visa, but LloydsTSB issue American Express.

HI Jodie,

I bought mine today from Thomas Cook - they use American Express. I had to pay commission though as I didn't book my holiday with them. That's sooo cheeky, they didn't do it last year!

Anyway at least I don't have to worry anymore and I can spend the rest of my money on make up!

It sounds great, lots to do. I highly recommend going to Barclelona as have been there before when visted Lloret de Mar in the north of Spain and it was absolutly brilliant, especially Nou camp stadium home of Barcelona Football ground.
Really excited now, week and a half to go!!
:)

Purple Star,

I recommend the Barcelona Fountains too, I saw them on a trip to Santa Susanna - really romantic, a couple who were staying at our hotel got engaged - he got down on one knee in front of the fountains! so sweet!

Jodie - 8 pairs? I'm impressed! I'd love to take more but I've a horrible feeling my case is too heavy already & my 5kilo hand lUggage allowance is taken up with my make up case! LOL :rofl
