When are you going?

If it is in the summer months, i would certainly cut down on the shoes, basically because they rub with sweat. I took 4 pairs with me, and only one pair as did a lot of my friends. Hand bags can be bartered for if you like them, but clothes shopping i found limited. Jewellery, shoes and bags are the main buying in Sharm.

As long as you have high factor sprays you will be ok if travelling in the summer.

thanks for your info - im trying to compile advice from all the posts - it's getting confusing!! (i just read your posts on the airport/seating/loo issue and am now a little worried! but still looking fwd to it!!)
we are travelling in july so i was planning on flip flops of different colours to go with everything, and one pair of trainers for the mount sinai/ quad biking trips

All I wore were flip flops and reefs, even in the desert.
Long skirt and tunic fine for religious places. I wore a long skirt and tee shirt to St Catherines and took a thin cotton scarf/shawl that i put over my head and shoulders when there. Shorts seemed to be the main problem, with men as well, and they were making people tie scarves over their legs.

We took far too many clothes and I lived in shorts, cossie and tee shirt in the day and long skirt and top at night. Bought home a case of unworn clothes!!

Your plugs will be fine. Don't forget anti mossie stuff to put on as I got badly bitten the first night, silly thing to do and easy to avoid!

Oh and have a lovely holiday!
