Be careful about being too close to the nightlife. Apartments right in the centre can be very noisy with motos wizzing past at all hours. The nightlife generally doesn't start until after 10.00pm!
You may be better to look for something on the edge of the town, or at least beachfront which may be a little quieter at night.
I'ts a lovely town, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
