The high ropes were £8 for 90 mins my kids both done them on seperate clubs. You also had to ocassionally pay for the kids clubs £2 for things like choc party and movie and munchies.
We never once booked the clubs just turned up on time, I asked about booking for following day and the rep said they werent doing it at the moment but that may change as the season goes on into the summer hols.
90 minutes sounds more like it. My brother-in-law said it was 30 mins which we thought was a bit steep.
Many Thanks all, every review we are reading I am the one getting more excited let alone the kids.
just because people dont complain doesnt mean its allright to dress as you like, there should be standards, mark street obviously doesnt have standards, try a decent cruise ship (not ocean village) and try to get into the restaurant in shorts, you wouldnt get through the door.
Black Knight, by all means put your point across about shorts in restaurants but you can't just come on to what has been a friendly thread so far this year and make personal attacks on members.
thanks black knight for your opinion, the point i was trying to make was that if i had been requested to wear trousers i would have. i cant believe you gave me a going over like that. my shorts most probably cost more per pair than all your trousers put together also you are in your twilight years so your comments are only to be expected. love to hear from you again!!!
Thank you so much for letting me know about the dress code for dinner etc. I will certainly by wearing my shorts in the evening, especially as it will be so hot, and even though my legs are not the greatest, I will try not to offend anyone! When I am lucky enough to go on a cruise (not Ocean Village!!) I will try to remember to take my dress suit. Thankfully I am not going on a cruise this time.
Dont asume just because people wear shorts they dont have standards......my husband wears shorts on hols of an evening but nice smart shorts (sounds like what mark wears) with a smart t-shirt or shirt we are not talking football kit(but if someone choses to wear it thats up to them it doesnt affect me) i agree that wouldnt be particularly suitable for a 4star hotel.
If it as acceptable for a lady to go to evening meal in a mini skirt and boob tube (not me havent got the figure!!!) the why cant men wear shorts if they are smart and comfy or 3/4 trousers.......i wouldnt want to have to wear trousers there in 40degree heat in august thats for sure.
Likewise we were in a 4* and it was long trousers and my husband played by the rules.
People like myself only pose the question about men in shorts in the first place so they know if they need to pack trousers.
Thats my rant over!!! Please lets get this back to nice friendly chat with people like me getting excited about there holidays.
Vicky
here here!! well said vicky, i agree with you totally
the kids loved it and my only regret is that we did not book 2 weeks.
If you have any questions please ask.
At the end of the day, your legs are under a table in a resturant, so who cares?
what i,m saying is the dress code at the pp is non existant and i dont like to disagree but i repeat you have to have standards. we just got back from staying at a hotel in benidorm and you couldnt wear shorts in their dining room . but when people dont set their own standards your left with a complex like the pp where at times i was ashamed of being british. the language i heard there from young and old alike was simply not acceptable, the way the staff was treated was again not acceptable.
this is were standards come in....standards in dress, standards in behaviour, there has to be standards in everything.
if you think i offended you, then i,m sorry, but when individuals start setting their own standards then complexes like the pp would be able to open both pp and pt i believe ( and i could be wrong) that the palace isnt opening till july because of a drop in bookings.
as for the cost of my trousers , well your probaby right we oaps have to shop at primark ,but this isnt about what things cost and how much money a person has its about standards, we mightnt be rich but i like to think we look good
and anyway my grandkids like me
BalckKnight...
We were there last year and to say i was surprised by the lack of standards is an understatement...
This in no way reflects on any of you who have been/are going and in no way does it put you down for what you choose to wear for an evening meal... if the standards arn't set how can any one follow them
I have never been in a four star hotel yet where you could wear shorts and vests in the resturants at night, let alone bikinis and WET trunks
But now Iberostar have taken over these hotels I wouldn't be at all surprised if there are more strict codes of conduct & Dress put into place...I have stayed at their chain of hotels before and they were very particular...

we went last september pat enjoyed it immensly i wished we had the grandkids with us, but i couldnt complain about the facilities, although i think you need kids to really enjoy it.
months prior to when we went this was not a friendly site we were on the verge of cancelling our hoilday because of the bad reports coming through...i mean it even got on holidays from hell. but if i read something i disagree with surely its in everybodys interests that i comment on it, or is this a thread only for people who agree with each other.
ive said many times on here if you have kids your gonna love it, if you havnt, dont go, but please dont wear shorts in the dining room, set an example for everybody else, make a fashion statement,
so you have hot legs for a few hours guys, a small price to pay to show the british do have standards
Has anyone noticed in the 2007 brochure the hotels are changing to separate hotels PP being changed to the holiday village and the Tropical being change to Iberostar Tropical, and it states nothing about being able to use both hotels. The only thing that worries me is that it states on the Tropical that it is new for 2007 FC assure me it is stated as new because it has been refurbished and is will be a separate hotel. And have said it is still opening middle of July and you can still use both hotels this year. So why do they say New for 2007 when the work in fact has been done already and opening soon!!!!
Hi All, Just tried to do a dummy booking for the Tropical for 2007 and you cannoy book it, it looks like FC are droping this property or the I berostrar chain are giving another tour operator the contact, we will have to look at 2addition for 2007 and see if any other british tour operator have got the contract.
God i have just realised this week im addicted to this site....ive been dying for a hit all week!!!!!
