We are going to the Rio Piedras Aparts. on July 1st. I was reading reviews on another site which said that there are building works going on in this hotel. Can anyone confirm or deny,has anybody just come back from there? Apparently they are to finish ON July 1st but that may be cutting it a bit fine for our visit as refurbishments always seem to be longer than expected.

We were in Gran Canaria 15th May for a week this year. Stayed at the El Greco nearer the harbour, and the Rio Piedras was closed for refurbishment. We did stay there last year, we had a lovely large balcony, our room was one of the older ones, some having been refurbished then, Maybe they were just refurbishing the reception areas and have now opened up.
