Hi,

Have you managed to look through the Cyprus forum pages ? Most of your Q's are answered and some pretty recently.

You can use the search funtion at the top of the page and search the Cyprus forum for specifics.

The Marlita's been mentioned lots recently due to possible building work

There are also lots of reviews with loads of info on the Marlita here :
http://www.holidaytruths.co.uk/reviews/cyprus/larnaca/marlita-beach-hotel-apartments/

They're part of the Tsokkos group you could visit the website for more pics etc. They also take direct bookings over the internet which usually works out cheaper (I've used them many times before  )
Check it out here : http://www.tsokkos.com/pages_eng/marlita.php

Good luck and Happy Hols 8)

Hi Jim

We returned from the Marlita on june 5th, so if there is anything you want to know, feel free to ask :) I havent had chance yet to post my review (hope to do so this week!) Yes, they are the same places ~

I went alone with my son who is 5 1/2, and yes, for him it was an ideal place, although there are kids clubs (he didnt use them) a lot of the sessions were charged extra. However the pool, both large and kids pool are excellent, and they still have other activities for the kids to do. The pool facilities are good, kids club facilities (a room above the bar area) is poor, but the area itself is safe, and theres plenty of space for them to run around. Just over the grassed area is the small beach (small shingle and sand) and the water is calm and ok to paddle and swim in....

As for Marlita, it is a good 20 minute (with kids! maybe a little longer) walk down into the beginning of the strip or you can go by bus or taxi for CYP£4.00, we had a hire car so it wasn't an issue for us, but if you want to be within easy walking distance then Marlita probably isnt the best located.

There are "luna parks" and mini golf courses around the town (3 in total) which amusements, and things for the kids, my son enjoyed Protaras (probably far more than I did),

We found the cost of "living", eating and drinking etc to be slightly cheaper than being here at home, but when we go away, we do not cook or use the SC facilities and eat out. We found that average evening meal would cost us about CYP £15-20, if we made it for brekkie, this cost us about CYP£7 and lunch between the two, we did go off in the car to the supermarket, to stack up on drinks etc which were cheaper than buying at hotel or the local shop.

Anyway, if there is anything that you want to know give me a shout, and I hope to get my pics downloaded this week too, so if you want to see some, Im moer than happy to send them to you.

We did try to book direct via Tsokkos and whatever date I put in there was never availability, as you may know here in UK its airtours only (we found cheapest was booking thro going places, altho we travelled school holiday and for 11 nights.)
