Hi,
Can anyone give advise on best way to travel around Majorca/mallorca
ie, Hire Car or Public Transport. I am going to Cala D'or in August this year for first time, with partner and our Son (15yrs) and Daughter (7yrs). The Children & I like to walk but unfortunatly partner not able to walk any great distance. Any information would be appreciated.

There are 2 "tourist trains" which operate around the Cala D'Or area which we used quite a few times to get from one area to another. We don't mind walking, but at sometimes it's just too hot
thank you Biddulphian for your help.
If you are up for it then a hire car will be 100% better, make sure it has air conditioning, though I think they all do now.

Thank for advise avrill
There are plenty of buses in Cala D'Or from Cala Serena to Playa Mondrago, also three noddy trains. Intercity buses to Palma and resorts to the north. Boat services up and down the coast as well. Drop in the tourist office on the road from the centre to the Marina, they have the timetables and a good map showing the locations of appartments and hotels.
Many thanks, Ouzo,
