Hi all,
For the last 4 times to Cyprus we have spent a wonderful time at Athena Beach in Paphos.
My daughter will be 3 next year, and it looks as though we will have to change where we stay.
Does anyone have any ideas where to go thats got something for little ones and also loads of space for sunbathing!! (can't stand being close round a pool when i sunbathe!!)
Athena Beach's garden and beach area is big and spacious and will miss it, but my daughter got a little bored this holiday.
Wish we were back there now though!! Tan fading fast

The Capo Bay in Protaras you are allocated your sun loungers on arrival for the duration of your stay, it also sits on the nicest beach for kiddies Fig Tree Bay. plus you have good access to all the resort has to offer.
Also the Golden Coast Hotel which is actually in Pernera has gardens all the way down to the beach and again sits in one of the most sheltered bays in the area perfectly safe for a 3 year old.
Elizabeth, although you have recommended 2 excellent hotels the one and only concern I would have if I was a parent of a 3 year old(as I was a few years ago) would be that access to the beach from both hotels involves walking down a number of steps, the Golden coast being a few more.I know this is being extremely picky but this might be an important decision for some parents. For direct access to the beach you are looking at the Anastasia or Marlita Beach in Pernera or the row of hotels in Protaras, with Constantios the Great,The Vrissiana,Sunrise Beach being the main ones with pool areas, grassy areas and the beach.Should direct access to the sea not be important then Golden Coast and Capo Bay would be in the top 5 hotels in the area.
Have a look here http://www.avantihotel.com/village/
It has a kids club, playground and a special lazy river for kiddies
We're going in September so I'll give you a full report when we get back

I was tempted to recommend the Marlita which has huge grassed areas but I did 'nt think the beach is so nice there, The Anastatia I found to be to crowded around the pool area, the Marlita has a much bigger area with lots of room and a children play area which I think is quite good.
As Sally had said she hated being crowded round the pool area,I agree that all the others are just as good but I knew everyone else would be along with more suggestions.
Thanks for the info. Bluebabe i'll take a look at avanti in a mo. Got some brochures yeaterday and all the places that are for "families" don't look as nice as where we've been staying.
I suppose we've been spoilt with a 4star+ hotel and don't want to go Self catering etc. Just need something with maybe a kiddies club for 3 year olds so that she can go there for a couple of hours a day, so as not to get bored.

Hi Sally
Just been onto the website and i'm impressed. As is only over the road from the Athena Beach we know where everything is. Will check out prices now. Cheers again

Just had a look at the reviews on the Avanti Hotel and Avanti Village, it seems as though the hotel isn't as nice as the website looks. Also the village got more rave reviews than the hotel.
