I know we are all getting so excited.. i need to sort so much though.. i'm trying to fiqure out how much currency... how many clothes... how much mozzie stuff... but this thread has been great. I'm a little worries about PT though, and hope that it will soon re-open for us.

Just a quick question in the FC brochure it states that we can eat in the themed diners once per stay. Is that rule the same if you are there for 2 weeks?

I hope it will be open as well because we had recently cancelled another holiday because they wouldn't guarantee it being open. After I was told on here it wasn't open till the middle of July :yikes I phoned FC and told them I had just transferred from KABC because they couldn't guarantee me it being open and just transferred to PT and wasn't happy if i had been put in the same position again! She assured me that it would definitely be opening. So fingers crossed.

Vicky our flight is at 0500hrs on the 4th so will still be there :yikes
Our table will be full of drinks because I think the bar closes at midnight so will be topping up to last us until we are picked up (by the bus that is, not from the floor!) . So you can have a choice of drinks.

Hi to everyone. Seems things have calmed down a bit now. After cancelling this place twice now, am thinking of re-booking end September 2006. Can anyone tell me any information regarding the beach. I would like to know if there are any watersports at all and if so what? Also does anyone actually use it as I am getting the impression it is pretty dead! Can anyone help?

With regards to Swim kids I asked for after noon sessions so it woulldnt clash with soccer school, so ours varied from 12 noon to 4pm, we had vicky and she was great mine had nevr had a lesson before and now they can swim 10metres and more unaided.

On the beach there were several people there but not many in the water, but if you go to sarigerme beach it is not so steep into the sea, also with regards to the hotel beach they had a banana boat, donut thing and parasailing but unsure how much but lots of people going up in triples, on the parasailing.

Both my boys done the soccer school and I took football kits and trainers not boots as the ground is too hard for books.
They also took there footie socks and shin pads but only lasted about 10mins with the shin pads as its was just too hot, they both loved every minute of it though.

The Hargreves - The themed restaurants are one night at each per stay I was there for 2 weeks and we tried to book the Asian in the second week but she checked and said we couldnt  The Asian is definatley worth going to but not with really young kids as the service is very slow as it was in the Italian too, I wouldnt really recomend the Italian it was a bit tasteless.

Can anyone tell me if the hotel has Sky Sports in one of the bars? There is a match on while we are there that my hubbie and 9 year old son are very keen to watch  If not are there any bars locally that have it?

Thank you

Hi All
Thanks to everyone who has posted such useful info on this discussion group.
Anyone who has been recently, do you advise taking Sterling, Turkish Lira. Euros, travellers cheques, or a bit of all?
Thanks

When we were there (25May - 8 June) they were showing the football on a big screen in the pool bar. During our last few days they announced that a large screen was being put up in the Tropical ampitheatre to show all of the games. Don't know what will happen when the Tropical opens but i'm sure it will be on somewhere.

Thanks for the replies about the Tv's. Were they put up just for the World Cup, or is there usually a big screen TV showing football? The match that they want to watch will be a Championship game, well after the end of the World Cup.

Also, is it right that beach towels are provided? If I can avoid having to pack beach towels that will save loads of room in the suitcase!

Did anyone use stagecoach? Were they strict over the age limit? My daughter is a very grown up 5 year old (she will only be 3 weeks away from 6) and she wants to do it.

Thanks

Hi, just back from the PP earlier today. You can watch the world cup games in either the Pool Bar or in the Conference Room - both on giant screens. Atmosphere in the Conference Room was buzzin last night!! You don't even have leave the room for a drink as the staff put on a special bar at the back of the room! If its an afternoon match the giant screen in the Pool Bar is hampered by the glaring Turkish sun!! However, there are two normal size TV's above the bar itself which are fully visible, with the added bonus of pizza's and burgers within staggering distance for that half time snack!!
