My daughter is 7 on August 28 and would be devestated if she didnt have a cake.
It doesnt need to be fancy, just jam sponge or chocolate would do.
Anybody know where we might get one from??
Thanx
Mark
I cannot think where you might get a birthday cake in Cala Bona. Some hotels will provide a cake (at a cost) if you inform them in advance. Where are you staying ? It might be worth giving them a email in advance to save any upset. Enjoy your hols.
I know there is a bakers shop in Sa Coma which is not far from where you will be.
It has been a few years since I was in Cala Millor but we stayed in an apartmet block at the back of the resort on the road to Son Severa. If I recall coreectly there was a bakers shop on the right hand side as you walked away from the sea. I remember it because they cooked these enourmous pizza type things that they cut up and sold to the school kids on their lunch breaks and on their way home from school.
If you are in a hotel I would ask them. We went to Crete last year and my Daughter had her birthday out there, we asked the rep about organising a cake and they arranged it with the staff in the restaurant, think they charged about 15 euro, good luck and hope your Daughter has a lovely day
I'd personally take out candles with you and then ask around - if needs be go into a few British bars and ask if they can point you in the right direction. As Spanish kids have Birthday's too there MUST be somewhere that makes/sells them it's just a case of finding them.
If that fails tho' you could perhaps buy a nice 'normal' cake from a bakery and then stick your candles in it - not quite the same but better than nothing?
