Just had a look at that and glad I did. When we went abroad this year, we almost bought a couple of psps home for our boys as they were alot cheaper. :)

However we decided at the last minute to hang fire as would they operate with the games from our country.

Just found the article to my question on that web site- so now will know not to consider when we go again :cry:

Whilst in Tenerife at Christmas we bought our son a PSP. All the shops there sold English versions of the game as well as other languages, and they are fine to use with games bought in the UK. The only downside is the games we have bought here are at least 25% more expensive than those in Tenerife.

Please also remember that if you make purchases outside of the European Union and that purchase exceed £ 145.00 you may be liable to pay tax upon entry into the UK:

  • 200 cigarettes; or 100 cigarillos; or 50 cigars; or 250g of tobacco
  • 60cc of perfume
  • 2 litres of still table wine
  • 250cc of eau de toilette
  • 1 litre of spirits or strong liqueurs over 22 per cent volume; or 2 litres of fortified wine*, sparkling wine or other liqueurs *such as port or sherry and
  • £145 worth of all other goods including gifts and souvenirs.
