Will be going to Halkidiki on the 27th July, satying at the Sani beach hotel for 2 weeks. Just wondered if anyone has been there and can give me some advise on what to do and what to see within the area.
Don't want to spend 2 weeks sat by the pool, fancy some scuba diving and interesting trips away from the main resort centre.

We have stayed at the Sani Beach Hotel but it was a good few years ago (4, I think). The hotel is lovely and is in a gorgeous spot, very close to the beach. The marina is lovely too. In the surrounding area there is only the Hotel complex and the marina and nothing else. You would probably be better off hiring a car (we did) - Afitos is a lovely village quite close by. As for diving - I'm not sure, I don't think there was any when we were there, but that might have changed. Any questions just ask.
