I would recommend San Stefanos NW and in particular the Casa Delphino although there are lots of other suitable hotels / apartments here as well. The only part of your criteria it doesnot meet is the distance from the airport. It is probably 1.5 to 2 hours away if you are on a tour operator transfer coach. If driving yourself maybe 45 minutes to an hour.

I'd say Paleokastritsa (spelling varies) is certainly worth looking at.

(this website is a bit snooty about Paleo, but it's run by a business which has a restaurant and properties on the opposite side of the island, so take with a slight pinch of salt)

We've never stayed but usually visit when we stay in Corfu. It has stunning scenery, and accomodation is rather up-market. The down-side is that it is supposed to get packed out with day-trippers in high season (we've only been in May and October, which is fine).

There's a reasonable selection of restaurants. Not sure about the evenings.

By hire car or taxi it's probably around 30 minutes transfer. It's practically opposite Corfu Town on the west side of the island - probably the best road on Corfu links one to the other.

We stay in Aghios Stefanos (north-east) which is around half-way to Ag Stefanos (North West). The journey there will take around one hour 15 mins if you get a good run - which you probably won't, depending on how long it takes to pick your way through the "lovely" Sidari.

Hi,
We stayed in Dassia last year and it was fantastic.Transfer about 30 mins.
Our apts were very clean, not bad food, but on a very steep hill - locally known as cardiac hill  Beach is about 5-10 mins away, with water sports etc, bars on beach for snacks/drinks/ice creams. boat trips can be booked at beach side.

The resort has everything for families, there is a fantastic bar "Great Shakes", family owned and run by Ken & Sarah, everyone is treat like close friends - they have quizzes, karaoke, bingo etc, they have a web site so you can check it out before you go.I think it's http://www.greatshakescorfu.com

No noise at night and we were there July/August supposed to be busiest time, Dassia was a great choice for someone who'd never been to Greece before :D
I'm sure you'll enjoy Corfu - no matter which resort you stay :tup
